The 2023 Anton Rotary Club Duck Day will be on Monday May the 20thh. This will help celebrate the coronation of King Charles 3rd. As in previous years the event will be based at the Town Mills Riverside Park. In 2022 the event attracted many hundreds of people for a fun day and in keeping with past events there will be no entry fee and people were able to come to and leave the event as they wish.
The planning is well under way and the day will be organised around a series of 6 Duck races and a special race where children are invited to purchase a boat that the kids (and some audults) were able to decorate to their own design and then were encouraged to cheer it on as it raced with the tide towards Bridge Street. Also to be provided are ome fun games for children are being supplied by the 'Men's Sheds' organisation. A BBQ will be provided by Pete and Pam from The Town Mill Pub and other food outlets are being pursued..
All the races will be sponsored by local companies with the main sponsor being The Andover Bathroom Collection from Weyhill.
Love Andover have again agreed to support the event through their Radio and Andover Observer media..
Money raised will be used to support local charities
